PLOD1 and Hirsutism: Polycystic ovary syndrome was diagnosed from the following aspects: i) The presence of symptoms from puberty, ii) menstrual irregularities, iii) chronic anovulation, iv) hirsutism, v) high blood LH (luteinizing hormone) or the LH/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio, combined with excess testosterone levels, vi) ultrasound examination of polycystic ovarian symptoms to exclude similar diseases
