In laboratory findings, KD initially presenting as retropharyngeal abnormality had lower WBC (16.35(12.13–20.56) vs. 20.81(17.31–24.31), p = 0.040) and higher CRP levels (94.19(78.68–109.69) vs. 58.14(38.33–77.96), p = 0.011) than retropharyngeal abscess controls, and the differences were statistically significant.
