ALB and liver disorder: At present, there are several scoring systems that can be used to predict the prognosis of patients with liver diseases, such as the child-turcotte-pugh (CTP) scoring system, albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) scoring system, model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) scoring system, platelet-albumin-bilirubin (PALBI) grading system, MELD-modified scoring systems (MELD-Na, integrated MELD [iMELD] score, and MELD to the serum sodium ratio [MESO]).8-11 Based on several specific clinical parameters, MELD scoring system and CTP scoring system are most widely used in the assessment of liver function.
