Numerous studies have demonstrated that the nucleotide-binding domain leucine-rich repeat (NLR) and pyrin domain-containing receptor 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome play a significant role in the pathophysiology and research advancement of DCM and is a new pharmacological target for treating DCM and related complications [4, 5]. Here, NLRP3 is linked to familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
