EIF4A2 and neoplasm: While eif4a2 gene is considered a novel target for cancer therapy and anti-cancer drug discovery (Lv et al., 2016; Chou et al., 2017; Wang et al., 2019), its inhibition prevents the cooperation between eif4a2 and oncogenes (Lindqvist and Pelletier, 2009), and thus effectively inhibits the replication of cancer and tumor (Lindqvist and Pelletier, 2009; Slaine et al., 2017).
