Several genes, such as CDKN2A, FDX1, DLAT, DLD, GLS, LIAS, LIPT1, and MTF1, have been proven to be involved in the process of cuproptosis (Tsvetkov et al., 2022), and their potential mutual interaction mechanism has been explored in clear-cell renal-cell carcinoma, melanoma, colorectal cancer, lung adenocarcinoma, and gastric cancer (Ji et al., 2022; Lv et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene FDX1 and lung adenocarcinoma.
