The genera Faecalibacterium and Roseburia showed substantial negative relationships with IL-2 and IL-6, whereas the genera Faecalibacterium and IL-6 exhibited strong negative correlations; this implies that increased inflammatory activity, which is linked to the disruption and functioning of the gut microbiome, may contribute to depression in SLE patients. Here, IL2 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
