It is recently found that 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA), the most abundant fatty acid and major lipid component in royal jelly, alleviated DSS-induced colitis and enhancing colonic barrier function by regulating the NLRP3/caspase-1/GSDMD-mediated pyroptotic pathway (57). This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and colitis.
