These down-regulated DEGs were closely related to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), apoptosis, oxidative phosphorylation, natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity, human cytomegalovirus infection, Epstein–Barr virus infection, Huntington's disease, TNF signaling pathway, Chagas disease (American trypanosomiasis), aldosterone synthesis and secretion, and viral myocarditis (Figure 6D). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
