Our analysis also included the characterization of two tumors with novel BRAF fusion partners, PTPRZ1 and TOP2B. PTPRZ1 is a member of the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase family that is highly expressed in normal brain tissue and is recurrently fused to MET in adult grade III astrocytomas and secondary glioblastomas [46]. This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
