Our analysis also included the characterization of two tumors with novel BRAF fusion partners, PTPRZ1 and TOP2B. PTPRZ1 is a member of the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase family that is highly expressed in normal brain tissue and is recurrently fused to MET in adult grade III astrocytomas and secondary glioblastomas [46]. The gene discussed is PTPRZ1; the disease is astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
