Recent studies have demonstrated the cumulative effects of repetitive mTBI, which results in the excessive accumulation of tau protein [5] Previous studies have shown that repetitive mTBI can lead to an increased likelihood of developing neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease (PD), or chronic traumatic encephalopathy [6] Accordingly, there is growing awareness of repetitive mTBI and a recognition of the need for effective treatment options for repetitive mTBI. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Parkinson disease.
