An analysis of the adjusted multivariate Cox regression indicated that an advanced tumor stage, organ metastasis, abnormal prealbumin (<0.28 g/L), hemoglobin (males < 120 g/L, females < 110 g/L), direct bilirubin levels (>6.8 μmol/L), and severe malnutrition were independent mortality risk factors for survival (all p < 0.05).
