In summary, Chinese green teas (HSGT) aged for different years show certain effects in the inhibition of colon cancer cell growth, arrests in the G1/S phase of the cell cycle, and induce apoptosis, most likely via suppressing the PI3K/AKT signalling pathway, downregulating CDK2, CDK4 and CylinB1 proteins, and upregulating PARP protein and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2. Here, BCL2 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
