Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disorder in which a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22 generates the chimeric kinase Bcr-Abl, which activates several signaling pathways, such as JAK/STAT, MEK/ERK, and PI3K/Akt [2]. Here, SOAT1 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
