FADD reduction has also been observed in a variety of tumor types, such as non-small-cell lung cancer [5], hepatocellular carcinoma [35], or thyroid cancer [6], indicating that FADD expression can be lost in mouse and human cancer cells and could be used as a prognostic factor for an insufficient response to chemotherapy [36].
