Given that the anthropometric dimensions used for categorizing somatotypes respond to changes in diet and physical activity [36,67,68,71], future investigations are needed to validate somatotyping as a quick, global measure of changes in body composition in response to lifestyle, (e.g., diet and physical activity) and pharmacological (e.g., growth hormone or anti-obesity therapy) interventions.
