In this study we found that DHAP inhibited the levels of NO, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α, and enhanced the production of IL-10 in LPS-stimulated macrophages, which suggests that this compound could be an alternative in the treatment of degenerative diseases associated with inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic diseases. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and rheumatoid arthritis.
