Similarly to what we noticed in myeloid leukemia cell lines, high VISTA expressors had indeed an increased prevalence of aberrations in NPM1 (odds ratio [OR] 2.1 [95% confidence interval (CI): 1.19–4.2], p = 0.001) and KRAS (OR: 4.1 [95% CI: 1.2–22], p = 0.031), whereas lower expressors displayed a higher frequency of somatic alterations in CEBPA (OR: 0.28 [95% CI: 0.10–0.80], p = 0.041), RUNX1 (OR: 0.45 [95% CI: 0.21–0.99], p= 0.012), and PHF6 (OR: 0.09[95% CI: 0.01–0.74], p = 0.0057, Table S6, Figure S2). Here, NPM1 is linked to myeloid leukemia.
