PRR4 and open-angle glaucoma: A proteomic study of patients with primary open angle glaucoma demonstrated a subgroup of 16 upregulated pro-inflammatory proteins [38], most of which were also observed in our study of CRVO patients as significantly altered, and include lactotransferrin, proline-rich-protein 4, zinc-α2-glycoprotein, and some immunoglobulin chains (Table 1).
