Many of the functions and pathways in the results of this study have been previously reported to be associated with cancer metastasis or development, including the folic acid metabolic process [21], glycoprotein biosynthetic process [22], glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis—chondroitin sulfate/dermatan sulfate [23], glucuronosyltransferase activity [24], acetylgalactosaminyltransferase activity [25], focal adhesion, cysteine and methionine metabolism [26] and glutathione metabolism [27]. This evidence concerns the gene B3GAT2 and cancer.
