This intensification of lipid-lowering therapy resulted in an achievement rate of 53% of patients reaching the LDL-C target of <1.4 mmol/L (<55 mg/dL) in the group finishing CR after the publication of the 2019 ESC/EAS dyslipidaemia guidelines with only 2% of patients having prescribed PCSK-9 inhibitors. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and inherited lipid metabolism disorder.
