Figure 1C displays the relation between major genetic alteration and recurrency. Desmoid recurred in patients with only CTNNB1 mutation (n = 8, 80%), with only GNAQ mutation (n =1, 20%), and with CTNNB1 and GNAQ mutation (n = 5, 38.5%). Moreover, desmoid tumor recurred in all patients with APC mutation. From other research teams, information related to the prognostic role of CTNNB1 mutation was already reported. Especially, in meta-analysis, it was reported that the S45F mutation is a high-risk factor for the recurrence of desmoid [26]. Here, CTNNB1 is linked to desmoid tumor.
