In 2003, the same authorship group published a similar study revealing that BRCA2 PVs were found more frequently in 34 Polish women with ovarian cancer and a family history of GC (mean age of GC diagnosis of 59 years, range: 33–76) compared to 75 Polish women with ovarian cancer and a family history of ovarian but not GC (23.5% vs. 4.0%; OR 7.4, 95% CI 1.8–30) [47]. Here, BRCA2 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
