The above analyses revealed that suppression of RAR signaling and activation of ERK signaling occur in the three subtypes of breast cancers, basal-like, ERBB2+ and luminal B. Notably, it has been reported that patients with these three subtypes of breast cancers exhibit poorer prognoses than patients with other subtypes [2,3,4,48]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
