MiR-101 is downregulated in NSCLC tissues, and overexpression of miR-101 inhibits the proliferation of NSCLC cells by targeting several essential proliferative genes, including ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 1 (ABCC1), zinc finger E-Box binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1), chromodomain Y-like (CDYL), myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1) and metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT-1) [28,29,30,31,32]. This evidence concerns the gene MALAT1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
