Having ascites and/or peritoneal carcinomatosis significantly decreased the chance of having a CA-125 reduction to normal level, (12.9% vs. 36.6%; OR 0.25, 95%CI 0.13–0.50, p < 0.001)) and (23.5% vs. 48.7%; OR 0.31, 95%CI 0.18–0.55, p < 0.001)) respectively. This evidence concerns the gene MUC16 and Ascites.
