IFNG and cyclic hematopoiesis: The demonstration of activated IFNγ signaling over time in our mouse model, the elucidation of its cellular determinants, and the proof-of-principle that interference with this driving axis (via depletion of neutrophils) attenuates functional decline of the system associated with hallmark features of hematopoietic aging, is anticipated to direct future investigations into the modulation of tonic interferon signaling in the bone marrow and its consequences for the emergence of CH.
