Notably, dysregulated levels of all mitotic kinases, including Nek2 and TTK mRNAs presented in Table 2 and Additional file 1: Figure S1 correlate with increased aneuploidy in all breast cancer subtypes but only dysregulated expression of PLK1 and AURKB correlate with higher aneuploidy indexes in NHB women with basal breast cancers. This evidence concerns the gene TTK and breast carcinoma.
