In a multicenter randomized trial that evaluated the effect of SGLT2 inhibitor dapagliflozin on the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire Clinical Summary Score (KCCQ-CS) (155) in HFpEF patients, found that after 12 weeks of treatment with dapagliflozin, the KCCQ total symptom score, physical restriction score, and 6-minute walk test were improved, suggesting that SGLT2 inhibitor treatment improved the symptoms, physical restriction and motor function of patients with HFpEF. This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and cardiomyopathy.
