VEGFA and liver dysplastic nodule: VEGFA regulates vascular permeability and it is a key regulator of angiogenesis during the growth of solid tumors.[7,8] It has been found that VEGF expression levels are significantly higher in renal epithelial cells and distal tubular epithelial cells in DN patients compared to the general population,[9] which may be associated with increased renal vascular permeability leading to proteinuria.
