To test if PPP1R15A/GADD34 expression correlates with anti-Her2 therapy response in human patients, we analyzed the transcriptomic data from the Long-HER study, which obtained whole-genome gene expression measurements in advanced Her2+ breast cancer patients who had long (>3 years) durable response to first-line trastuzumab therapy, relative to the group who had a poor response (<1 year response) [32]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is breast cancer.
