Further, accumulating researches have indicated that HMGA1 is critical for the progression of malignant tumors, including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and lung cancer [10–12], accelerating the malignant progression of tumors through influencing DNA replication, cell proliferation, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) [5, 13]. This evidence concerns the gene HMGA1 and cervical cancer.
