The combination of traditional Chinese medicine kelp and curcuma zedoary can inhibit the production of endogenous H2S, and the proliferation and metastasis of liver cancer cells are attenuated by downregulating the expression levels of the p‐STAT3/BCL‐2 and VEGF pathways and their downstream key genes p‐ERK1/2 and p‐AKT, indicating that H2S plays a key role in the treatment of liver cancer.91 The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is liver cancer.
