RBM39 and cancer: Its depletion leads to numerous splicing alterations (10–12). RBM39 is over-expressed in several types of cancer, e.g. breast and non-small cell lung cancers, colorectal adeno-carcinoma and acute myeloid leukemia among others and was recently implicated in sensitivity of cancerous cells to Indisulam, an anticancer sulfonamide (13–15).
