The differences in re-distribution of the early (gamma-H2AX, pATM) and late (53BP1, pBRCA1) acting proteins may suggest that ACTN4 is not involved in the break-points recognition but rather in a yet unknown process that regulates the balance between two major DSB repair systems in NSCLC cells (Fig. 6).
