Among the fourteen A-to-I non-synonymous editing events (Supplementary Table 4), three ones have been experimentally dissected as pivotal modulators involving in tumorigenesis, including A1099G at AZIN1 in HCC [12], A725G at NEIL1 in glioblastoma [32] and A722G at PODXL in gastric cancer [15]. This evidence concerns the gene AZIN1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
