TIMELESS and cancer: We inferred how DDX11 exerts its pan-cancer role given the previous studies based on individual cell lines or individual cancer types: (1) DDX11 is involved in DNA replication or repair, sister chromatid cohesion, and spindle assembly [75–77]; (2) it is regulated by the aforementioned E2F family [74, 78]; and (3) it interacts with the replication fork complex protection factor, i.e., Timeless [79, 80], which is also regulated by E2F [81].
