In current study, we found that PRMT5 blockade attenuated glycolysis (as indicated by ECAR level) in CRC cells through transcriptionally activating LDHA, indicating that PRMT5 blockade may prevent the growth of CRC cells by inhibiting glycolysis, although many works have elucidated that glycolysis promotes cell growth and invasion in cancers. The gene discussed is PRMT5; the disease is cancer.
