The examination of the expression of STAT3, G6PD, and TrxR1 genes in the genomic data from 7569 breast cancer patient samples and 242 non-tumor breast tissues in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases shows that the expression of G6PD is significantly higher in TNBC patients compared to normal tissues, and that the patients with the high expression of STAT3, G6PD, or TrxR1 had a poorer overall survival than the patients with low expression of the three genes (Supplementary Fig. S8). This evidence concerns the gene G6PD and breast cancer.
