All four biopsies that were positive for P2-HNF4α, p-STAT3 and c-Myc at the same time were associated with obesity, diabetes and hypertension and 50% of these were associated with advanced fibrosis however this was not statistically significant likely due to the small number of cases positive for all three markers. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
