Most recently, in March 2022, the FDA approved nivolumab and relatlimab, a LAG-3–blocking antibody for patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma.18 The approval was based on results of the randomized phase 3 RELATIVITY-047 clinical trial (combination group vs nivolumab) in patients with previously untreated advanced melanoma.
