Indeed, FAK inhibition had a strong inhibitory effect on ERK1/2 activation and abolished progranulin-dependent activation of ERK1/2 independently of EphA2, in both MSTO-211H and NCI-H2052 cells, demonstrating the role for FAK in mediating progranulin-dependent activation of MAPK in mesothelioma.
