We also determined expression levels of some functional genes implicated in apoptosis (casp3a and p53), ovarian tumors (pawr, pax8, pgr, erbb2 and cdkn2a/b) [59–64] and fibrosis (tgfb1a and pparg) [65–68], and the results showed increased expression for most of these genes in inhbaa-/- ovary with the increase of casp3a, pax8 and tgfb1a expression being statistically significant compared to the control and inhbab-/- mutant (Fig 13F).
