C1QBP is expressed at high levels in a significant number of tumor types, including melanoma, colon, ovarian, gastric, prostate, brain, and breast, compared with their nonmalignant counterparts (Chen et al., 2009; Amamoto et al., 2011; Yu et al., 2013; Niu et al., 2015; Wang et al., 2015; Gao et al., 2016; Rousso-Noori et al., 2021; Sinha et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene C1QBP and melanoma.
