RNASE3 and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps: Previous studies have indicated that the infiltration of M1 and M2 macrophages especially M2 macrophages are significantly increased in nasal polyps from CRSwNP patients (9, 10) and the number of M2 macrophages was positively correlated with the levels of type 2 mediators including IL-5, eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) and IgE (10).
