CRCs differentially expressed the proinflammatory cytokines IL17A, IL21, TNF, and CCL20, with CCL20 being highly expressed at every stage of CRC. In in vitro assays, coculture with F.nucleatum species (Animalis) markedly induced CCL20 protein expression in specific colorectal cancer cells, which implicates it in CRC development. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and colorectal carcinoma.
