Kou-gi Shyu et al. [95] found that exosomes from cardiac myocytes that were induced by hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) significantly increased the expression of metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) in cardiomyocytes, which inhibited miR-92a expression, and attenuated the suppressive effects of miR-92a on krüppel-like factor 2 and CD31 expression in the left ventricular myocardium after MI, enhancing neovascularization. The gene discussed is MALAT1; the disease is myocardial infarction.
