Analysis of a large cohort of KRAS-mutated pancreatic cancer cases revealed that the mRNA levels of various IEGs and growth-promoting genes (i.e., the G1/S cyclins D1 and E2, and the cell proliferation marker, PCNA) were substantially increased in the SET-high (top 10%) cancers compared with the SET-low (bottom 10%) cancers (Fig. 8c, left). This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and pancreatic neoplasm.
