Except for age, male gender (15), lower BMI (20), diabetes, longer dialysis duration (28), malnutrition (such as lower serum albumin/pre-albumin) (7, 29), and high-sensitive C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP) (30, 31) were found associated with sarcopenia also in a multivariate logistic regression. Here, CRP is linked to malnutrition.
