TUBG1 encodes the tubulin gamma 1 protein, which, when mutated, can lead to brain malformations (61) with clinical features such as motor and intellectual disabilities and epilepsy. Moreover, TUBG1 is involved in tumor diseases, as shown for breast cancer (62), lung cancer (63) and medulloblastomas (64). The gene discussed is TUBG1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
